One to two days before closing, the title company will send you a “Settlement Statement” which outlines the amount you will get paid at closing minus any owed costs such as unpaid taxes or liens that may be on the property. One of the documents will give you the option to choose whether you would like the sale proceeds wired to your bank account or paid via cashier's check at closing.

On the day of closing, you may either go in person to complete the required paperwork or request a mobile notary meet you at a location of your choosing at no additional cost.
